Construction
The aluminium quadruplex URD conductors consist of four twisted and compressed conductors, made of aluminium alloy 1350-H19; Individually isolated with a uniform layer of reticulated polyethylene (XLPE) black resistant to moisture, heat and weather (sunlight) and subsequently assembled together. The neutral conductor is identified by three longitudinal yellow stripes coextruded along the entire conductor. Its form of packaging is spools in lengths according to customer needs.
Applications
Aluminum quadruplex conductors type URD are twisted classes AA and A and are used for secondary distribution lines of electrical power, can be installed directly buried or in electrical pipelines or pipelines, as specified in the national electrical code. This type of conductor can be used in dry and wet places, its maximum operating temperature is 90 ° c and its operating voltage for all applications is 0.6 kv.
